Due Today: Step one of the webquest
In Class: Today we started to or finished the the map on the webquest. Afterwards we filled out an anticipation guide that we will look at throughout our unit, so it's important not to lose it! Next, we went over inferences! Inference: a conclusion reached based on evidence. We looked at at power point then examples to decide whether or not they were inferences. We also reviewed what a main idea is: the main point of the text. With the new and reviewed knowledge, we read the article of the week. We underlined all the evidence in the article, then using the evidence, inferred (using our inference skill) what the main idea of the article was. Make sure to write the main idea on the paper and label at least 4 evidences.
