Due Today:--
AoW 6: We read an article about food in England during the reign of Elizabeth I.
Onomatopoeia/Symbolism: Based on the pre-test students took last time, students don't know figurative language. Today we learned onomatopoeia and symbolism and filled out the definition on the log. Then, as we read the two chapters from How They Croaked, students looked for examples of the two terms in the chapters and filled out the example and explanation part.
How They Croaked: We read about Henry VIII and Elizabeth I
Compare and Contrast: We compared and contrasted the deaths of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I in our Text Structure Booklet.
Homework: Reading, finish AOW 6
